Prelude to a kiss
Unfortunately (sorry for the misspelling in the video) something went wrong with the video of the guitar solo part. When recording the solo I thought I had pressed the rec button to rec and at the end of my solo to off. But it was the other way around so you see me listening back and judging my solo instead. I record video and audio on separate devices and synchronise the video and audio tracks afterwards. Because i was happy with the solo i decided not to do another take for the sake of videoproof. Now I hope you want to believe that it is indeed me who plays the solo ;)

Cotton Club Jam
Op zondag 8 oktober van 15.00u tot 18.00u is er een jazz jamsessie in De Hip in Deventer. Elke 2e zondag van de maand worden jamsessies gehouden, de ene keer voor pop ( o.l.v. Koos Lonis) en de andere keer voor jazz (o.l.v. Ralph de Rozario). Voordat de jazz jamsessie begint bestaat de mogelijkheid om met een korte jazzworkshop mee te doen. De jazzworkshop begint om 14.00u. In de workshop behandel ik 1 jazzstuk dat tijdens de sessie gespeeld wordt. De rest van de sessie is vrije keuze van reperoire. Met tips voor improvisatie, frasering, timing, uitleg van akkoorden en misschien een beetje theorie kunnnen de deelnemers dan het geleerde toepassen tijdens de jamsessie. Op dit jazzblog zet ik wat ‘ huiswerk’ zodat je thuis alvast kan oefenen en je op de workshop kan voorbereiden. Meer lezen...
